Data NoteGrove stores
NoteGrove stores the content you create, including notes, gardens, plants, care history, garden details, and local backup data. If you add attachments, attachment files are stored on your device.
Last updated July 13, 2026. NoteGrove is designed to be local-first and private, with an explicit boundary around optional iCloud sync.
NoteGrove has no developer-operated notes server, account system, ads, or tracking. Free data stays local. Plus can use Apple private iCloud sync for gardens and notes, while attachment files remain device-local.

Free NoteGrove stores your data on your device. You can erase local NoteGrove data from Settings inside the app.
NoteGrove Plus can use Apple private iCloud sync to keep gardens and notes available through your iCloud account. NoteGrove does not create a separate account, sharing system, public database, or social profile.
Attachment files stay device-local for now, even when attachment metadata can appear in synced app data. Private iCloud sync should not be treated as an attachment backup.
NoteGrove Plus is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple through StoreKit. NoteGrove uses Apple purchase status to unlock Plus features and does not operate its own payment server.
Camera, microphone, or speech-recognition access is requested only when you choose a feature that needs it, such as adding a photo or using voice input. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings.
NoteGrove widgets and Shortcuts/App Intents use local app data needed to show or save notes. They do not create a public feed or send notes to a NoteGrove server.
The current launch build does not include advertising, tracking, or developer analytics. NoteGrove does not sell your personal data.
If NoteGrove changes how it handles data, this page will be updated. For privacy or support questions, email hello@jeromymobley.com or visit the NoteGrove support page.
